Long Gone
These mail bits went into the post about 3 months ago. I was housesitting a beautiful one bedroom apartment in the best neighbourhood in Halifax. A cat lived there who was easy to please and it was a nice three weeks in that home. I was able to get a lot of mailing done. It was just one of those places with good vibes seeping out the floorboards.
Here's what the mail bits looked like:

Received in the Post
All of these RECEIVED MAIL posts should soon be warranting a SENT MAIL post.
Soon, I assure you, soon. But I've been busy working on my small business Varity Concert and I need to make some money before I can buy some stamps!! In the meantime, here's some visual delights I've gotten in the past couple of weeks:

A great short story in a beautiful envelope from Michael. I love a good read.

Cool stuff in a cool ziploc in a cool envelope from Karen Champlin

Fun times goodies from Shirley on sendsomething.net. She says that business is real slow over there, wouldn't it be nice to throw a dog a bone and send her something in the mail?

And a fine-ass, packed-to-the-brim, oddly shaped envelope from Valentine Mark Herman in beautiful France. Filled with exactly what it says: Mail art miscellant. Delights like business cards, stamps and plastic bits. The possibilities are endless.

RECENTLY RECEIVED: MAILART BEAUTS
Mail has been flowing a-plenty these days and I couldn't be happier.
Here's a few that I've documented:
A lovely little letter wrapped up in a sweet envelope from Jen Staggs. Tucked inside were some pretty sweet old school style faux tattoos. Jen probably doesn't know this, but applying fake tattoos are my friend's and I's perfect pre-party thing to do. I wonder if Jen knows I have a big ol' unicorn tattoo on my *ahem* "chest"? That horny tattoo is really speaking to me...

This layered and sturdy little postcard comes from Jon Foster:

And last but certainly not least, one from Diane Keys. A recent fave that sits close to home, as I sent her a package of paper goods a few months back which she has utilized in a few new pieces! Check out the post on her blog here!

Thank you everyone!

2012: The Year I Dissapointed Mail Art
I admit. 2012 was a sad year for personal import and export of mail. I've been busy.
To make up for this fact, I'm preparing about 40-50 pieces of mail to send out in a lump sum at the end of the year. They range from postcards to packages.
Don't believe me? Here's proof:
One for Valentine!

WONDERING WHERE I'VE BEEN?
I've been busy, the opposite of dead.
A little opportunity has crept up on me and I'M OPENING A STORE! Well, TOMORROW, I`m opening a store.
Pictures to come soon.
Anyways, here's some mail I've been meaning to get around to posting for y'all!
For Dear Stephy, my partner in crime on the west coast.

Something a lil risque for another Steph, this one in Florida. Steph sent me a freakin BEAUTY of a postcard a while back with drips and other creepy things. One of my recent faves, fer sure.

For Angie Cope in Port Washington!

For sweetheart Bianca in Australia. Gurl makes the coolest shit and has a great style!

Long overdue mail for Mary England in Maryland. This girl has sent me some great stuff and this postcard hopefully relays the sentiment that I appreciate her mail, and soon she will get something to make up for my tardiness.

For DK in Illinois!

For April Kam, all the way in Hong Kong!

For my Canadian Favourite, Dewi in Toronto:

For MADGE (Deserves to be capitalized) in Spokane:

More and more and more things coming soon!

Too Much Life
Life is moving fast and everything si getting away from me, but I really don't care, I will be honest with you.
My room is a mess
My car is a mess
I am always sleepy
But I am happy.
This party fever shouldn't last forever, right?
With that being said, here are some Valentines that I still haven't sent:

More Sent Mail!
Just as I promised, a few more things I am sending out. Mostly to folks in the IUOMA, but also some friends.
I've really been enjoying making these lately. It's been coming naturally, which I can't honestly say happens all the time. I've been crafting with a good friend of mine who pushes me to explore different materials and compositions. A key example of this is the vintage letraset strips as seen on Jen's postcard.
Down to business!

For Kiera in Montreal, this was one of my faves of the bunch. I've been into trying more minimal elements in my postcards. More white, more deadspace.

A pep talk for Joanna Carabante in California

For my good good friend Jen. I'm pretty sure she's on Salt Spring Island in British Columbia, but that girl is a west coast trotter, and I love her for it.

This one's for Robyn Wells who makes purdy purdy things: http://www.robayre.com/

Something For You?
Nothing pleases me more than a Sunday crafternoon.
Currently detoxing after a weekend of non-stop dancing, secret rooftop-spot parties, sweaty sweaty hugs, and three 6 AM bedtimes in a row. I feel young and happy. Also-tired.
Amidst the chaos, some work got accomplished. My good friend Steph encouraged these things out of me this weekend!

To De Villo Sloan

To Erika

To Dewi

This is a postcard I made for STAUBS forever ago and forgot to send. Better late than never!

For Madge
I have a bunch more coming, which will be up as soon as I'm able to scan them!
Livin' life, Lovin' life!

More Received Mail!
I post this as I am in the middle of doing some MAJOR reorganization in my room. I've got most of my received mail archives in three tupperware bins right now. I've pulled a select few to share today.
I almost toyed with the idea of digitalizing the whole collection, but that might be ludicrous.....

From Kiera Pannell!

From Laura Podob!

From Darlene Griffin!
