REAL LIFE POST!

I went away.

Photobucket

It was beautiful. It wasn't far and it wasn't for long, but it was much needed amidst a bunch of things like this:

Drinking 100 shots of beer in 100 minutes. The equivelant of nine beers in an hour and a half.

Oh yeah, and outdoors at noon on Good Friday. Mind you, I did not participate in this, but it sounds like something I would do. And have tried to do in the past.

All in all, life has been good, and I'm looking forward to getting back into the normal swing of things? Hopefully spending less money and sending more mail.

Nothing says "January" like some Halloween photos:

I went on vacation in October and had the time of my life.
So much so, that when I returned home to Halifax, I couldn't have fun anymore.
No matter what I tried, no fun. So I moved to the country to be beside the ocean, because I feel like this is what I am supposed to be doing right now.
Slowing down, being lonely and getting things done.

To help me relive the good ol` days (3 months ago), I`m sharing some photos of the weekend where I did a lot of things I shouldn`t have.

That's my Halloween costume. It's also Raven, my online gothic alterego.

WARNING: There is nothing pertaining to mail in this post.

Sappyfest.

The best weekend of the whole year. Always and forever.
This weekend was a rollercoaster that was the size of two small town blocks.

Filled with:

Good friends and new friends

The ladies' bed in the ladies' room. A dream.

Doing nothing and everything at the same time

Bars on cars in parking lots

Dancing on busses, dancing on chairs, dancing on band gear, dancing (falling on friends) in shopping carts

Photobucket

Bonjay and Charles Bradley, totally uplifting, totally emotional and moving at their most maximum.

Other highlights:

Shark Attack, AKA Arcade Fire played as a secret guest.

Jenner's leg getting crushed by a tall friend in a shopping cart as he was being wheeled home and requested " a blossom from the tree". This might not have been one of Jenner's highlights but hot damn, it was hilarious watching in slow motion as everything toppled.

The Weekend Asked, and I Responded, "Yes".

This past weekend, I travelled to fair ol' New Brunswick, which for those of you who don't know, is the province next to my province, Nova Scotia. There was a craft fair called the Heart and Pocket Revue, which was apart of The Handmade Assembly Weekend. The Assembly featured some amazing artist talks and workshops, as well as some great shows and performances. I had a table at the craft fair. So did one of my closest friends Jenner-Brooke Berger.

Despite late arrivals (very late), the crafts fair went smoothly. There weren't very many crafters, nor was there much traffic. But it seemed as though the people that were there, were buying. I made a chunk of change and had a great time.

Photobucket

Speaking of a great time, kareoke at the Legion later that night was bananas-insane. I definitely wasn't expecting to get as wild as I did that night. Thank you, Sackville!

Photobucket

I bought a ton of great stuff, which I will tell you about soon.

A Day At The Fair!

A surprise found Jenner and Chloe and I one day when we went to Value Village.
Not only did I have the best shopping trip ever, with hot scores like a pair of leather witchy boots, and a faux leapord print fur jacket, THE FAIR WAS IN TOWN!!

And the magic continued into the next evening when I attended a potluck at Sandras house, who taught my Tactile Notebook and the Written Word class. The students from both former classes attended. Great conversation was had throughout the whole night and it was great to see all my classmates whom I had not seen all summer. Check out this inspiring table setting!

It was on this day that I officially realized:
Autumn is here.
