All the way in lovely Oakland, California.

And genuinely, I really think Oakland is lovely. I've been once and I visited the best store I have ever been to. A store filled with second hand art supplies. A big warehouse filled with everything you could need.

I've just begun trading with Hugh, a new mail bud I e-met on Flickr. Hugh's into collages and sticker art and collaborative books, so basically we're a match made in postal heaven.

SPOTLIGHT ON: Jen Poole

My gurl from different times, Jen, travels all up n' down the West Coast. She's following her dreams. She's landed a school in Cali and I couldn't be happier for her. She also sends some great mail to me. Lots of sewn envelopes and pieced together collages with some good stories to bulk them out.



Here's the most recent lil guy. Meow!




She's resourceful in the best way possible, making her envelopes out of some interesting and tactile materials.
